Buying online is tricky but I was really impressed by the quality.  I would describe the cotton as a fine cotton.  The shade of red is not bold, if that makes sense and it looks summery. I think the sizing is small, for instance I am a 5' 3\" female, weigh 9st 4lbs,  and I chose small mans, as I like a loose fit. My husband is 5'11\", weighs 14st and he chose XL as he likes a loose fit. I think it would be helpful if Chris stated his height and what size he is wearing - I think this might save returns.  I know you have detailed sizing information but unfortunately I didn't read that. No nasty scratchy labels.
